Parking Sign Posts and Poles
Choose from 6', 7', and 8' U-channel parking sign posts for in-ground installations. These durable steel posts have a green baked-enamel finish and tapered ends to make installation easier. Nuts, bolts, and signs are sold separately.
Select the post height based on the sign, installation location, mounting depth, and any applicable placement requirements.
Movable Sign Base and Post Options
Not every parking sign needs a permanent in-ground installation. The Pedestal Base combines a 14" wide cast-iron base with a 4' post for a freestanding installation.
The base weighs approximately 32 pounds and is drilled to accommodate 12" × 18", 18" × 24", and 24" × 24" traffic-control signs. Signs are sold separately.
Traffic Sign Mounting Hardware
Complete an installation with traffic sign mounting hardware selected for the post or mounting surface.
Available hardware includes nuts and bolts for in-ground posts and movable bases, concrete screws for brick or concrete walls, theft-resistant hardware, S-hooks, and installation tools.
- For example, the set of two nuts and bolts includes 1-1/2" × 5/16" zinc-coated steel hardware for use with an in-ground post or movable base.
- For wall installations, Tapcon concrete screws are designed for mounting signs to concrete or brick and include two screws and flat washers.
Traffic Sign Mounting Brackets
Mount signs to existing round posts with traffic sign mounting brackets designed for the post diameter and installation.
The Adjustable Band Bracket Assembly fits posts from 4" to 12" in diameter. Each assembly includes two brackets, two straps, and the hardware required to mount one sign.
This option can be useful when signage needs to be attached to an existing pole rather than installed on a dedicated U-channel post.
Hardware for New Installations and Sign Replacement
The hardware needed for a project depends on how and where the sign will be mounted. A new in-ground installation may require a post plus nuts and bolts, while an existing pole may call for a mounting bracket. Wall-mounted signs can require hardware suited to masonry or another mounting surface.
HSI also carries theft-resistant nut and bolt assemblies and a corresponding mounting wrench for installations where tamper-resistant hardware is preferred.
Before ordering, confirm the sign dimensions, mounting-hole configuration, post or surface type, and hardware required for the installation.
If you’re also selecting the signs themselves, shop Parking Signs to coordinate signage and mounting hardware for your property.
