When 5–7 Lines Are the Right Fit
A 5–7-line format works well for messages that need a little explanation but can still be communicated concisely. Use these custom information signs for check-in procedures, visitor instructions, payment or appointment policies, privacy notices, patient preparation information, staff reminders, or other short multi-part messages.
The goal isn’t to fill every available line. Use the space to make the message easy to understand at the point where patients, visitors, or staff need the information.
Write a Clear Custom Notice
Start with the action or information the reader needs most. Keep sentences short, remove unnecessary wording, and separate instructions logically so the sign can be understood quickly.
If the complete message becomes crowded or requires several separate instructions, move to an 8-line or more information sign rather than reducing clarity to fit a smaller layout.
Match Your Sign to the Facility
These signs are part of our broader custom information signs selection, making it easier to choose a custom message format that coordinates with other signs in your healthcare environment.
Select the sign style and colors that fit the surrounding space, then customize the wording for the specific policy, procedure, or information you need to communicate.
